“I’ve been searching for a limit-strap that would hold up to the abuse of King Of The Hammers and still offer a consistent length and smooth feel season after season and I’m beyond stoked on Elrod’s Limit Straps. I have a lot of space issues in the rear suspension and Chris was able to customize my straps with a d-ring in the center to cleanly attach a bungee cord so they always pull away from the tire and shocks on bump. The innovative attachment point hardware on all his straps have never shown any wear and the extended length hasn’t changed since they were first cycled. With an IFS car it’s really important not to over cycle the front or CV damage can occur. I trust in Elrod’s Performance for my racecar 100%.“
Gomez Brothers Racing starting racing Ultra 4 in the summer of 2012. At that time we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into and with the help of Bob Roggy and a few others the GBR team was started. We had one rig 4482 ”The Ol Lady,” which all of us brothers raced with the first season. As the first season came to an end, we knew we needed to have our own race rigs so we decided to build another ultra 4 and purchase a complete rig from Camo. As we prepped for the King of the Hammers 2013, Bob came into the shop one afternoon and had an assortment of suspension straps. I asked where he'd gotten them from and he replied from Chris Elrod. At that time, we didn’t fully understand the importance of the strap, but in a racer's world it means it keeps the suspension together to work properly and not fall apart. As we bolted the new limit straps to the rigs I noticed how they were tightly made and super strong compared to the ones that the rigs had before. The whole team raced the 2013 season and never once had a strap break even with all the hard rolls and wrecks we were having as amateurs out there. In 2014 and 2015 the same thing, all year round we would replace the straps at the end of the season and keep the old ones for spares. At the beginning of the 2016, Chris from Elrod Performance asked if we would run his straps on our 2 new UFO fabrication IFS cars and see how they do. I of course said yes due to the past years of no failures. KOH 2016 was the test and Elrods Suspension Straps held up to the abuse with no issues and I was able to pull off a 3rd place podium finish at 2016 KOH. For the rest of the season the Elrod Straps held up to every race we put them through. Multiple top 5 qualifying runs and a 2nd place finish at Reno Nationals. For the start of the 2017 season we switched out the 2016 straps for a new set. KOH 2017 4482 with a 5th place finish and 4483 10th place finish, and so far so good Elrods Performance Straps are the best on the market!
