This USA fabricated Ford 9" housing is made in 1 length at 72" long so you have plenty of room to make what ever style axle you want.  We now also offer 2 face plate options for those of you who want equal length shafts or a centered pinion in a rear center housing or you can use the faceplates to offset the pinion farther over in a front housing. We use equal length shaft faceplate for driver drop and centered pinion for passenger.

If you are building a front housing you can choose which side you would like us to weld your top truss on. As for the back truss option we only offer it welded on at full the length for a rear aplication.

Our fabricated Ford 9" housing comes standard with 3/8" thick faceplate machined flat and drilled for third member hardware AFTER welding to ensure a perfectly flat mounting surface and exact hole location. The outer shell is made from 1/4" thick steel with 12 individual bends which is done this way to reinforce each other. These axle housings allow the fitment of a 10" ring gear for ford 9" and have 1/4" thick internal gusseting to tie the whole thing together for maximum strength and durability.

EVERY component is welded to at least 3 other components. The axle tubes are 3.5"x 3/8" wall structural DOM which offer the perfect balance between strength, toughness, weight and ground clearance. You wont be denting these axle tubes! The tube keys into the face plate and has gusseting within the center section so it is completely supported on all sides.

We weld in an over sized fill/inspection port with knurled finish for quick and tool-less removal as well as an o-ring seal to prevent oil from leaking our or dust and water from getting in. Our housings are all hand made in the USA by our team of highly skilled professional fabricators.  Every housing is completely hand built, welded and machined in house. No robots, no imports, no gimmicks.

To machine the seal surface on you axle shafts you will need these measurements. All measurement's reference points start at the carrier end of the axle shaft.

Ford 9" Centered Pinion:
Right side of faceplate: 4" to 5.5"
Left side of faceplate: 8.25" to 9.75"
 
Ford 9" Equal Length Shafts:
6.25" - 7.75" both sides
