Solo Motorsports proudly offers our W-I-Y 8-Point race-legal interior roll cage for all Ford Ranger extra cabs. As you can see in the pictures above, this roll cage does what it was designed to do! The roll cage’s main section and the pontoons under the floor connecting to the frame consists of 2″x.120 wall DOM. All roof webbing is 1.75″x.120 wall DOM. Windshield “A” Bars and gussets are 1.25″x.120 wall DOM. Pontoons under the floor use existing frame holes which make locating fool-proof. Each tube is laser-etched with its own part number for easy assembly. All pieces are CNC-bent and laser-notched. It easily fits together like a puzzle. The top of the 2″ main tubes stub out of the upper rear roof section and allowing a connection point to your existing bed cage or back-half.

Also included with the kit are CNC-bent pieces connecting the A-pillars through the firewall to the front of the frame. This will serve as your engine cage starting point. These engine cage tubes are also CNC bent to clear the windshield wiper arm on the driver’s side under the valance for the prerunners that want to remain street legal and have full wiper functionality. Your factory dash can in most cases be reinstalled after fitment or any aftermarket dash will work.

All of the pictured tubes are provided. Along with the kit are 16 1.25″x.120 wall DOM laser-notched roof corner gussets. Roof interior sheet metal must be cut for proper fitment. Floor openings must be cut large enough to access for welding.

To assist you with installation, we provided you with a Dropbox link that includes many photos. They illustrate your starting point all the way to the final tube fitment with estimated measurements.

This W-I-Y kit will work with 1986 and to the present Ford Rangers with extra cab. Some extra fabrication work is required on the rear cab frame mount on the 1998 and new Ford Rangers . Our W-I-Y kit will also work on 1986 to 1992 “Rain Gutter” Ford Ranger extra cabs.
