The RT Pro RZR 170 Lift Kit uses a combination of experience and knowledge to gain the needed ground clearance and improved handling characteristics the RZR 170 needs. We've relocated the rear upper shock mounts to manipulate the geometry of the rear end and relocated the front spindles while still using the stock front A-arms. By doing this, we've increased the ground clearance by two inches. The front kit is especially helpful for clearance because the arms stay at the same angle as stock while the spindle is lowered. This provides even better arm to ground clearance than other "arm replacement" alternatives because the arm is put up higher along with the chassis which means there is even less to hit or drag across the arms with the RT Pro kit.
As an added bonus, we've made sure the steering geometry remains correct while using this lift. This is something most other companies do not seem to consider. The RT Pro RZR 170 Lift Kit uses heavy duty complete tie rod replacements which are raised and adjusted to work in unison with the factory steering rack and geometry. The stock tie rods on the RZR 170 are a known weak point so when purchasing this kit you should consider the fact you are performing two much needed modifications at the same time.
The RT Pro RZR 170 Lift Kit comes as a complete kit with everything needed for installation. Installation is fairly simple. The rear shock relocation mount bolts in place with no drilling or mods to the chassis. There is an additional chain link provided with the kit which is needed to lengthen the chain slightly to work with the modified rear geometry. The front kit is also simple in that it’s a "clevis" style kit which slips over the factory spindle clevis and bolts in place using the supplied hardware. There is one hole per side which needs to be drilled though the factory arm clevis to install the necessary hardware but this is very simple if you have a drill and a 3/8” drill bit. To install the tie rods the spindle arms must be drilled out to ½” to fit the adapter bushing but the rest is bolt-together. This kit also includes new, extended brake lines for the front brakes and wheel spacers to widen the rear end to match the adjusted width of the front.
All kits come standard in black powdercoat with no exceptions.
