CRITICAL SELECTION: FRONT SHOCK SELECTION
The 78-79 Bronco's came with 2 different shock configurations. The first type has staggered single front shocks with the drivers side shock mounted in front of the axle and the passenger side shock mounted behind the axle. The second type uses dual front shocks. Check your vehicle to make the appropriate selection.

NON-CRITICAL SELECTION: Rear Lift
The base system come with a rear 4" block and u-bolt kit. This can be upgraded to a block & add-a-leaf kit or BDS Glide Ride rear leaf springs.

BDS Suspension 4" Lift Kit for 1978-1979 Full Size Bronco.
A complete 4" coil spring lift kit system with a reputation of being nearly indestructible. This BDS legacy lift kit builds around two front Pro-Ride Coil Springs. We complete the kit by adding gussested heavy duty radius arm drop brackets that provide superior strength and restore OE caster, track bar relocation brackets that allow full travel and correct axle position, and new front and rear custom valved NX² series shock absorbers.
The standard rear lift kit consists of a 4" block and u-bolt kit for easy installation. Rear options include 3" blocks, a block and add-a-leaf kit combo (shown), or complete new BDS Glide-Ride Leaf Springs.
Additional customizations for this 4" suspension lift kit include: single or dual steering stabilizer kits, power steering pitman arm, bump stop extension kit, and more.
